Electric Motorcycle
A 70mph e-bike-shaped motorcycle with a hand-built 26650 Li-ion battery pack.

Built between March and November 2022. It looks like an e-bike, but legally it isn't one — the motor puts out over 12,000 watts of peak power, more than 16x the 750w limit that defines an e-bike, which meant registering and plating it as a motorcycle.
Top speed came out to 70mph. I designed and built the battery pack myself out of 26650 Li-ion cells, which was the part of the build that took the most care — cell matching, spot-welded nickel strips, and a BMS to keep everything balanced under that kind of current draw.
I ended up selling it after nearly getting hit by a car. A bike that can hit 70mph but is silent and low to the ground turned out to be a worse combination in traffic than I'd accounted for.
